On June 14, during a Solemn Mass held at the Cathedral of St. Mary, in Miami, Florida, took place the Investiture ceremony of five gentlemen and a lady as new members of the Cuban Association of the Order of Malta. During the ceremony, the Rev. Fr. Father Richard Vigoa also took the Oath as Magistral Chaplain. The Most Reverend Mons. Thomas G. Wenski, Archbishop of Miami and Chief Chaplain of the Cuban Association, officiated the Mass. It was presided by the Cuban Association President, Excmo. Sr. D. Fernando Garcia-Chacon, Bailiff Grand Cross of Honor and Devotion in Obedience, representing the Grand Master of the Order.

The Government Council of the Cuban Association was present as well as other Knights and Dames and friends of the new members. The new Knights of Magistral Grace that took the Oath to enter the Order were: Ilmos. Sres. D. Luis Pérez, D. Félix Cáceres, D. Jason Poblete y D. George Hillyer. The Ilma. Sra. Dña. María Valentina Pérez de Calvo also took the Oath as Dame of Magistral Grace of the Order.
